This article describes how to install and use Thinix Touch 6 with Kaspersky Anti-Virus. As a shell replacement, Thinix Touch modifies settings in the registry and Kaspersky AV improperly flags this as a Trojan virus.
In the system tray, next to the clock, right click the Kaspersky AV icon and click “Pause Protection”.
Agree and click yes to any warning prompts that open.
Run the Thinix Touch installer.
In the system tray, next to the clock, right click the Kaspersky AV icon and click “Settings”
The settings window will open – on the left side under “Options” click “Threats and Exclusions”
Under “Exclusions” click “Settings”
The exclusions window will open – click the “Trusted Applications” tab
At the bottom of the window click “Add” and then browse to the Thinix Touch folder: “%ProgramFiles%\Thinix\Thinix Touch”
Click on the “ThinixTouch.exe” application and click “OK”
In the “Exclusions for application” window, check all of the exclusions boxes as shown below:
Repeat steps 5, 5a, and 5b for “RegRepair.exe” and “ShellRepair.exe”
In the system tray, next to the clock, right click the Kaspersky AV icon and click “Resume Protection”
